The Northwest Passage is one of the final frontiers of the planet. The route was first navigated a mere 100 years ago but the EastWest route was not conquered until 1942. This is truly somewhere special. With the ice creaking you sail through the Bering Straits and the Beaufort Sea to Resolute. On your way you will see amazing wildlife and fascinating native communities both superbly adapted to this environment.

Essentials Graded easy but can be moderate depending on the amount of activity you wish to take part in ashore. All walks and on-shore visits are optional. Anyone reasonably fit should be able to take part. Itinerary
Day 1 Fly to Anchorage. Day 2/3 Anadyr Fly to Anadyr in north eastern Russia, crossing the international date line. Day 4-5 Bering Strait Cruise through this famous strip of water stopping on the Chukota Peninsula to visit indigenous cultures with reindeer herds. Day 6-8 Beaufort Sea Marvel at the impressive Arctic and marine wildlife as you traverse the Beaufort Sea. Day 9-11 Canadian Arctic Pass through Canadian Customs at Herschel Island. Vast Arctic tundra, huge icebergs, and maybe even Polar bears. Day 12-14 Amundsen Gulf A thrilling part of this voyage, named for the famous explorer. Day 15-17 Victoria Strait Continue your journey surrounded by natural wonders and learn about Sir John Franklin whose famous expedition came to a tragic end in this area. Day 18/19 Resolute/Ottawa Arrive in Resolute; fly to Ottawa. Day 20/21 Fly to London via New York.
