All hotels feature a restaurant (except the Best Western Carlton Plaza in Victoria, but there is a choice of restaurants within walking distance) and bar. All rooms have private facilities, TV and telephone. Your Train For your rail journey aboard the Skeena, you will travel Totem Deluxe class, in the fantastic fully glass enclosed Panorama car, for optimum viewing. You will enjoy access to the Park car, with its magnificent domed section. Your meals will be served aboard. On day 1 of your journey (Jasper ­ Prince George) you will be served lunch (cold plate) and dinner (hot), and on day 2 (Prince George ­ Prince Rupert) you will be served breakfast, lunch and dinner. The scenery on this tour is absolutely breathtaking, ranging from the Rocky Mountains to the rugged coastline of the Inside Passage and the stunning coastal scenery of Vancouver Island. With excursions by boat and train, as well as both whale and black bear watching, this tour is perfect for nature lovers. YOUR ITINERARY - Depart on your scheduled flight to Edmonton, then transfer to your hotel for a two night stay. DAY 2 - Today there is an included morning sightseeing tour of Edmonton, where you will see the Muttart Conservatory, the Royal Alberta Museum, the Alberta Legislature and gardens, the North Saskatchewan River and the Gallery Walk, home to art galleries, gift shops, fashion boutiques and restaurants. The afternoon is free for you to explore the capital of the Alberta Province, why not visit the famous West Edmonton Mall, one of the largest shopping and entertainment centres in the world. DAY 3 - Depart Edmonton for the scenic drive to Jasper and your first sight of the scenic Rocky Mountains. Three nights' accommodation has been arranged in Jasper. DAY 4 - A half day sightseeing tour of Jasper has been arranged, including a trip to Pyramid and Patricia Lakes and the area around Jasper. This afternoon take the optional excursion by train along the Whistler's Mountain Railway. DAY 5 - A free day in Jasper, a former railroad town and now the focal point of its own breathtakingly beautiful national park. Optional excursions on offer include a trip along the historic Athabasca River, and a fabulous nature walk with an experienced guide. DAY 6 - Board the Skeena today for a wonderful rail journey to Prince George. Seats have been reserved in Totem Deluxe class to enable you to enjoy the breathtaking views. Departing Jasper at lunchtime, meals (including lunch) will be served at your seat. The Skeena travels the 1,160km between Jasper in the Rockies and Prince Rupert on the north Pacific coast through some remarkable and varied landscapes, making this one of the most beautiful rail journeys in Canada. On your journey you will pass areas of wilderness, lakes, rivers and mountains, and you may even catch a glimpse of some fantastic wildlife, including bears, moose, elk, deer, wolves, coyotes, eagles and hawks. You will disembark at Prince George for an overnight stay. DAY 7 - Continue your fantastic rail journey from Prince George to the coastal town of Prince Rupert, arriving in the evening. You will stay in Prince Rupert for one night. DAY 8 - Board a BC Ferry early this morning for your cruise along the spectacular Inside Passage to Port Hardy on Vancouver Island.
